Economizers, or economisers, are mechanical devices intended to reduce energy consumption, or to perform useful function such as preheating a fluid. The term economizer is used for other purposes as well. Boiler, power plant, heating, Refrigeration, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) uses are discussed in this article. In simple terms, an economizer is a heat exchanger.
In boilers, economizers for CFB boilers are heat exchange units that offer low installation costs and good performance. They warm up fluids – usually water – to just below their boiling point, not beyond it normally.
These devices get called "economizers" because they're great at using heat from fluid streams that are hot, but not hot enough to be used directly in the boiler. This way, they capture more usable heat and make the boiler work more efficiently. The high-performance ones are fitted onto boilers to save energy: they use the boiler's exhaust gases to preheat the cold feed water that goes into it.
Our economizers are made using high-frequency welding. Here's how it works: steel strips are automatically welded in a continuous spiral around the outside of smooth tubes, following a specific structure. Then, the remaining parts of the smooth tubes are bent and put together as needed. The result? For the same diameter and length, our economizers have a larger heat transfer area.
